Del Valle Church of Scientology at golden dawn

First arriving in the 1960s, Scientology is far from an infant in Mexico’s largest city of 22 million residents—but its expansion into an Ideal Organization in the neighborhood of Del Valle lit the fire of an even brighter future for Mexican Scientologists and their community.

Once the home of the famed artistic couple Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, the area is a thriving center of creative art and of Mexico City’s proud tradition of freedom of thought and freedom itself. As such, it is an ideal home for a Church of Scientology, a center where all in Del Valle and beyond may pursue spiritual freedom.

A visual celebration of spirituality and culture, the Church is a wonder to behold and impossible to miss.

Presiding over the Church’s March 2024 dedication ceremony, Scientology ecclesiastical leader David Miscavige asked: “You want to see history in the making in this Latin American megacity? Well, the moment is upon us—right here and right now.”

The new Ideal Org reflects that moment—its multi-story facade lit up and glowing with the symbol of Scientology, adorned with cubist and traditional Mexican art. A visual celebration of spirituality and culture, the Church is a wonder to behold and impossible to miss.

As Scientologist Aline Martinez put it: “When you walk through the streets of Del Valle, you’re not just seeing a neighborhood. You’re seeing the evolution of Mexican identity through art and culture.”

And thanks to the work of its dedicated parishioners, you’re now also seeing a Scientology Ideal Org—and it’s a living wonder.

Explore the spiritual, intellectual and creative heart of Mexico City as spotlighted in Destination: Scientology—the weekly travel series only on Scientology Network.
